Our Story
More than ten years ago, I ran a small goat’s milk soap business from my farm in the green heart of Tasmania. It was simple, quiet work—milking goats in the early morning mist, stirring oils by hand on the stovetop, pouring soap into wooden molds as the scent of herbs and honey filled the kitchen. I sold bars at local markets, wrapped in brown paper and twine, and I still remember the joy I felt every time someone returned to say how much their skin loved it.
Even as life moved on and the business took a back seat, that part of me never disappeared. The pull to create something real—something honest and useful—never left my hands. I missed the feel of it all: the rhythm of small-batch making, the comfort of familiar scents, the satisfaction of knowing exactly what was in each bar and where it came from.
Meadow Made was born from that longing to return—not just to soapmaking, but to a slower, more rooted way of living. The name speaks to the origin of every ingredient we use. The tallow comes from pasture-raised cattle, cared for on open fields. The milk is gathered from animals nourished by grass and sunlight. The oils, herbs, and honey we blend in are all chosen with the same care. Everything we make is touched in some way by the meadow—by the earth, the seasons, and the simple abundance that nature provides when we take the time to listen.
This is more than soap. It’s a practice. A return. A quiet kind of craftsmanship that honors the past while nurturing the present.
Each bar is made by hand, in small batches, with old-world ingredients and time-tested methods—because your skin deserves what’s real, and we believe that real things take time.
Thank you for finding your way here. For choosing slow. For supporting handmade.
